Recruitment

If you are interested in applying to our guild please see our Guild Policy forum to review our rules. Prospective members are expected to know the rules before applying.

Applicants may contact our recruitment officer Phaedin for any questions you may have.

Once you have read our rules you may post an application in our Recruitment forum.

The following is a snipet of the guild rules. For the complete and most up to date version follow the link above to our Guild Policy forum.

General Conduct

  1. Every guild member will treat one another with kindness and respect. Disrespect for one another will not be tolerated.
  2. Offensive or crude chat in the guild channel is not allowed. Treat guild chat as you would a workplace environment, swearing or offensive topics should not be brought up.
  3. Ninja looting of any kind is grounds for immediate removal from the guild.
  4. Treat non-members with courtesy and respect. As long as you have the guild tag of Argus Imperious you are representing the guild as a whole. If your actions reflect badly on the guild you are subject to removal.
  5. Only one person per account for raiding purposes. When you joined the guild you were accepted based on the player who applied. You will be held responsible for actions conducted by anoyone on your account.
  6. Having characters in multiple guilds. This is subjective. If the other guild is a small group of friends that doesn’t conflict with AI this will most likely be a non-issue. However if your other guild conflicts with AI (similar raiding schedules/times) and you frequently raid with them when you are needed here that is cause for loss of raiding/membership privileges and can be cause for removal from the guild.

Trade Chat / PuG Runs

  1. Trade chat trolling (either feeding trolls or being one yourself) is highly monitored. Argus members are expected to take the high road and refrain from participating in troll discussions in trade or any general channel. A warning will be given on the first offense, if a 2nd offense is witnessed sanctions up to and including removal from the guild are available to the officers.
  2. PuG raids and 5-mans should be treated as an Argus raid. All the same rules apply. You are wearing our tag and expected to behave consistently even in cross-realm or pug settings.

Raid Conduct

  1. Always come fully prepared with any flasks, food or equipment you may need.
  2. Listen to the raid leader(s). They have spent a great deal of time examining the fights.
  3. Do not carry on random conversations while instructions are being given.
  4. Follow the instructions you were given. We typically come up with our own way(s) of doing boss fights. Just because we do things differently than videos you may have seen does not mean that you can ignore our instructions.
  5. Arguing or fighting with another person during the raid can be cause for immediate removal from the group and suspension of future raiding possibilities. If you have issues take it to tells with an officer.

Ventrillo Conduct

  1. Do not yell into vent.
  2. Do not talk over other people or interrupt others.
  3. Try to keep vent usage to a minimum. This is used by the raid leaders to communicate strategy and if the raid leader has to wait for someone to finish talking or has to talk over someone it causes issues.
  4. Do not play music over vent. Not everyone likes your musical choices.
  5. Do not give out our ventrillo information to non-members. If for some reason you need a non-member to access our vent please contact an officer first.
  6. Use your characters name in Ventrillo. This reduces confusion.
  7. Unknown ventrillo users can be removed/banned with no notice.
